“Dedicated To Bringing Your Magic to the PAYING Public!!!”

Holiday.  I sure did.  How can you beat friends, family, food,

football and a nap for a perfect day?

Yesterday was the first day in a LONG time that I didn’t

even turn on my computer or check messages. 

Truly a day off.

It keeps going for me today.  I’m having everyone over for

dinner.  I love to cook and this is a chance to let my other

creative side free.

I was thinking last night about how relaxed I felt yesterday

and how rejuvenated I feel today. 

Ken McCarthy shared a wonderful article the other day with

his list about how we should have “Thanksgiving” every

month.  Maybe even every week.

Just one day that we do nothing business related.  Just a day

reserved for reflection, gratitude and love.

Well, that is my resolution.  I typically take Sundays off,

but there is always something looming on the horizon.

The entrepreneur’s curse. 

You know what I mean, I’m sure. 

The never-ending “to-do” list.

Zig Ziglar reminds us in his most recent speech that God

worked six days and took off one to admire what He had

just done.

That is the ultimate model.

So, today I give thanks first thing in the morning.  I will

work some, I’ll play a bunch and I’ll enjoy those I love.  

There will be some business taken care of and the list for

tomorrow will be made late tonight.

But on Sunday, the computer stays off.  The phone goes off. 

And I will practice what I’ve been taught.
