Inside this issue: Emails, Coaching & Business Cards :
Hi
Man, I am digging this week! Lot’s of fun, family and sprinkled with playing with some new routines.
It’s funny. I LOVE magic! Learning a new routine just fires me up. I share it with you when she’s ready.
Today I’m going to answer a few questions that have come my way recently.
Enjoy! ===========================================
Thank you Eric!
A quick question - How do you personally address your emails? I assume you have too many to send each one individually.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hi Peter,
I use “1 Shopping Cart” to handle all of my mass mailings. And then simple mail merge combing Act Database and either Publisher or Word for my print media.
The beauty of 1 Shop is that they handle all of the delivery for me and keep my clients arranged in many different ways.
This way I can tailor messages more directly. There is NOTHING better in delivering a message that is customized to the client.
I cannot recommend 1 Shop enough: http://www.on2url.com/app/adtrack.asp?MerchantID=5734&AdID=346962
========================================= Hi
Eric, month? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hey there Dan,
Good question and one that I should clarify. There have been many questions about this whole membership thing. I don’t think I’ve explained it well enough.
1) Coaching, one-on-one, has been changed to last as long or as short as you want. It used to be a solid 3 months, which I still recommend.
But everyone’s needs are different. That is why it is now “open-ended”. It goes on for as long as you feel you need. The minimum being one month.
2) When you sign-up for the coaching program, you are automatically a “Mastermind Member” and receive all of those benefits too.
If you are thinking of doing coaching, but not sure, I would still sign-up for the Mastermind Level immediately.
The bonuses are amazing and won’t last much longer. Also, the first round of special monthly mailings will be going out later this week AND the new site is about to launch.
This is VERY exciting stuff and I would hate for you to miss anything. You won’t want to.
And no, you are not charged for both. Each level includes the levels below it in the price.
Don’t delay…

========================================= Hi Eric
This is good information. I have a question about your reference to a script for handing out cards. Is this something you mentioned before? If so, I didn't get it, and would love to read it.
Thanks!
Tony +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hi Tony,
No, I have not talked about this before in print. I reserved it for lectures.
But you are right, it is VERY good info!
Here it is again if you missed it: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Reprint from: Saturday, October 6, 2007 Written & Published by Eric Paul http://www.MoreMoneyWithMagic.com
Inside This Issue: The REAL work in handing out your business cards!:
Ok, so you have a killer business card that has all of the necessary elements on it; USP, contact #, email address, web-site, a call to action and something of value to get the prospect to keep it.
A few of you asked, so I uploaded some photos of a few that I currently use onto my blog at:
http://moremoneywithmagic.wordpress.com/
They work very well for me.
You know to hand business cards out in multiples. You are writing and rehearsing a script loaded with powerful sales strategies.
Cool, we've come a long way already!
Now for the real work -
Getting their contact info!
This is what proactive marketing is all about. This is what separates the men from the boys.
Taking full responsibility for your success or failure!
Some of you may already be doing this and I commend you. Most are not and it's such a waste of money.
Think about it, you have a prospect that is interested in what you offer. So interested that they went out of their way to come up and ask you for more information.
This is a HOT prospect!
Don't let them go!
You should absolutely be taking the bull by the horns and collecting their information too. This way you can add them to your "steel Trap" and they will become a customer for life.
There are a few ways to do this.
The obvious is to ask them for their card also when they ask for yours. I didn't include this part in my script yesterday because I didn't want to give away what we were going to cover today. But it's in there.
And it's very easy to do. You are giving them something and the law of reciprocity says they have to give you something too.
This is standard practice at corporate and networking events. The prospect won't even blink an eye.
You immediately take their card, enter them into your database and do the necessary follow-up to turn them into a customer. I'll be covering more of that in the next few days.
But what if you're at a birthday party and the Mom doesn't have a card? No problem.
I always have what I call, "Info Cards" on me.
They are simply post-card size forms the prospect can fill-out to receive more information.
It takes a minute and I rarely, if ever, have had anyone not want to fill it out. It makes their life easier and I send them the info they want.
They can give me telephone number, mailing address or email address. Whatever is their preferred method of contact. It doesn't matter to me because I know I have systems in place to handle them.
The actual one that I use is on one of the template files in my Theater Show Booking Course so I'm not at liberty to show you the actual piece here. But it's very easy to make up.
Just make up a card with all of the info you'd like to collect and have various check boxes of the different programs you offer.
This has been the real money-maker for me!
Let's say I'm at a Blue & Gold Banquet and a Mom comes up for my card. She may have me in mind for little Johnny's upcoming Birthday Party.
However, she starts to fill-out the form and notices that I also do elementary school assembly programs or magic workshops.
This opens up a dialogue and we are off to the races. I get tons of shows this way!
I put these cards out at my public events and theater shows. There is even an area on the back that they can drop it in the mail to me if they'd rather. This rarely happens, but I like to offer the option.
So there is a HUGE example of how you can get very proactive about how many bookings you get. This is gold and I hope you use it!
Yours in success,
Eric Paul
P.S. The New Theater Show-Booking Course is blowing some minds out there! I love that so many of you are creating serious success with it. It is honestly where I make my real money and I am sorry, but it is not available in PA, MD, DE or NJ.
I hope you all understand, but this is my bread-and-butter at the moment.

P.S. # 2: I am really impressed with DJ Ehlert’s Restaurant Course. I was just cruising through it again the other day and it is FULL of great info. Definitely written by someone in the trenches!
