No, you haven’t missed any issues.  Many of you have

emailed me to see if you missed anything since Friday’s

last publication.

 

Nope.  I’ve been swamped and I know you are too.  There

is so much junk coming into our inboxes that I don’t want

to be thrown in that mix anyway.   That’s another reason I’m

publishing mid-day too (see, I keep up with all the trends out

there : ) )

 

There are two really cool things being released tomorrow

and I encourage you to stay tuned and alert to that

announcement.

 

Today, I’d like to share an email with you.  At first glance,

this may seem self-promoting.  And, it is.  But the lesson

to be learned here is HUGE.

Just had to let you know that yesterday I booked my first

theater show! I used your "Theater Show Booking System",

which I've had maybe a couple months at most, and I used 

ideas you offered during the included coaching call.
 
The very first theater I talked to and met with booked my

show yesterday for a weekend in June. This is just what

I wanted because I finish my educational entertainment

tour at the end of May so this booking is my first step

toward the independence, self determination and variety

that I am seeking in my performance life. I also have other

hot leads discussing dates!

Wow!  Thanks John!

 

The big lesson here is that John took action.  He didn’t let

the course just collect dust in a corner somewhere.

 

He also took advantage of the coaching session.  So few do. 

If you have the course and would like some follow-up, I

have some time between the Holidays and now would be

a good time to email me to set something up.

 

So John took action, got the back-up he needed and just

did it.  A great formula!

 

Now the next step is making this show count big time.

 

He is entering a new and very lucrative market here.  ALL

of the rest of the course needs to be followed too.  I know

John will, but it’s a great reminder to all of us…

 

1)  Videotape the show!  I would tape everything from the

booking to the post-show follow-up.  Get tons of testimonials

from the audience, press and theater reps.  Hire a still

photographer for at least one night too.

 

2)  Alert the media!  Everyone in the area should know about

this one and they should all be invited.

 

3)  Tell the other theaters in the area what you’re doing! 

All of the other theaters should be invited to come see the

show and I would even invite local agents.  Most of them

won’t come, but they’ll begin to know you well.

 

4)  Demonstrate to al of the other decision-makers in your

market what a success the event was.  This is easily done by

sending copies of press clippings, testimonials and even

more important, what the theater made by having you!

 

We can do this type of thinking and planning for almost

ANY market we’re concentrating on.  It doesn’t have to be

theaters.  There just happens to be much more money in that

market that you can afford to spend a little more up front and

during.

 

So, congratulations again John!  You da’ man!
