Inside this Issue: Never Stop Learning
Dear friend,
Have you ever had one of those days when you thought your
head was going to explode?
Yes, I’m sure you can relate.
So much great information, so little time.
However, it is what excites me and what a blessing it is to
have access to all of this information. And I find, time and
time again, that the attitude of constantly learning is a common
trait amongst ALL highly successful people.
Today’s topic:
Never Stop Learning
Why is it that whenever I attend marketing seminars,
motivational events and “serious sessions” that there are
always the same people there? 90 % of the time these events
are filled with people that don’t really need to be there, but
yet they are. They are the guys that are out there really doing
it and making it in life and yet they are taking time out of their
busy schedules to learn even more.
The answer - There is ALWAYS something else you can
learn! These “players” know that all it takes is one good
nugget to make them a fortune. Probably even more
important, they get a chance to network and brainstorm
with other like kinds. It’s events like these that the success
rubber meets the road!!!
My favorite and most full-filling ongoing events have been
GKIC Seminars and Chapter Meetings, church, Monthly
Master-Mind Groups (mine and others), different tele/web-inars,
and of course, our upcoming conference!
And it really is true - the same people are at all of these
events. They are the movers and the shakers.
“Plugging into” valuable resources like these has been my
life-blood for years now. Just watching others in action
motivates me. It’s a strange phenomenon when like-minded
individuals connect. It’s real magic!
I’ll leave you today with a quote from Anthony Robbins…
“I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of
commitment, and life’s greatest rewards are reserved for
those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act
until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains,
but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this
may sound, it is still the common denominator separating
those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.”
–Tony Robbins
Yours in success,

Inside this Issue: Does it make you nervous?
Dear friend,
Things are back to normal here at the ranch. Thank you all
for your concerns and well wishes! Seriously.
Suzan is fine now but it was scary.
Again, it was yet another perspective shift for me.
And that reminds me…
So what are your plans for next year? Do you know? If you are
reading this, you probably do. But it still amazes me that only
3% of the US population ever takes goal setting seriously. How
can you ever know what to do next or what you’ve already
accomplished if you don’t have some sort of target?
It’s impossible.
I took some time earlier this month to do some mental
housecleaning and real soul searching. It was a great
opportunity and one I highly recommend!
I was going over last year’s goals and some came true, some
didn’t. Many things changed to say the least. Things I didn’t
count on and things I couldn’t have foreseen. I crossed a few
things off the list and made course corrections on others.
Still some are no longer relevant.
I discovered a few interesting things that I think we can all
benefit from.
1) No matter what comes my way, I have complete power
to decide how to react to it. I know this sounds simple, and
it is, but it holds so much power!
I’m reminded of the story Tony Robbins likes to tell: Did
you know that a jet plane flying from LA to Hawaii is off
course 97% of the time? There are all sorts of distractions
and forces against it. There’s wind, turbulence, trade winds,
weather and more. But it still lands in Hawaii.
How?
1. It knows where it’s going
2. It continuously tracks it’s progress
3. It adjusts course accordingly
4. It completes its mission!
Does that makes sense to our careers and our lives or what?
There are even more great analogies we can gather from this.
After it completes its mission it re-fuels, rests, goes through
a series of checkpoints and does it all over again to complete
yet another mission!
Now I have no idea where you are on this timeline. But I am
willing to bet that you can place any dream you have into
some portion of this series of events. Perhaps you haven’t
even taken off yet.
The point is that you not take set-backs or bumps in the road
too drastically.
Robert Collier said, “Success is the sum of small efforts
repeated day in and day out.”
Every day we are bombarded with life. And every day we are
empowered with the ability to react to it. The choices we
make day to day will determine our outcome!
2) The second realization that came to me while looking at
my progress is that I haven’t been dreaming big enough.
What a HUGE mistake!
Sure, I get a lot of satisfaction from crossing things off my
goal list. And yes, I believe that goals should be attainable.
But what am I missing out on because my targets have been
so “comfortable?”
I don’t know. But I’ve decided to find out!
Big dreams drive us to do things we’d never do for lesser
dreams. I am doing a disservice to my creator, myself and
my circle of influence by not dreaming much, much bigger
dreams!
How do I know what I am capable of if I don’t try it? I have
no idea whatsoever. And neither do you, my friend.
Let’s make 2009 the BIGGEST year ever! Unleash the power
within you. Find out what is hiding under all those years of
people saying you can’t do it. Hogwash. For every idea
worth its salt there was someone saying it can’t be done!
How big is big? If it doesn’t make you a little nervous, you
know that feeling in your stomach; if it doesn’t take your
breath away the first time you think about it, it’s probably not
big enough!
Yours in success,
Eric Paul

Inside this Issue: Life is Interesting - What’s your response?
Dear friend,
Well, sometimes life hands you a challenge. Lord
knows, it’s always an adventure.
My ex-wife had some pretty serious complications from
what should have been a minor procedure the other day.
She’s fine now. Rest and recuperation is the plan.
But I admit, I was worried. And it called for everything
to be dropped and re-scheduled.
The Mentor Members were incredibly gracious and
everyone else has been patient beyond expectations.
Thank you all.
It really puts it all into perspective.
I’ve been talking a lot about time management and
getting more done than you ever have before. I have a
LONG list of projects, goals, dreams and more.
And they’ll all get done. I’m sure of that.
However, I did pull back this week and remember why
I do what I do in the first place - freedom.
Freedom to do what God has planned for me. Freedom
to set the schedule. Freedom to take some time off if
it’s needed.
I was reminded of some valuable lessons this week:
1-Priorities: Because I stand behind my priorities, it
was even a thought when Suzan needed me. She comes
before the business stuff.
2-Systems: Thanks to having systems in place,
business ran without me. Not completely, but enough
to get by in an emergency. Now I can clearly see what
needs to be automated and delegated even more.
3-Relationships: this is the rock to fall against when
needed and if I didn’t have relationships with my
clients, friends and support team, things would crumble
quickly. Generally, everyone is more than willing to
help if asked. But you can’t do that if you try to go it
alone.
Some important reminders for me and I hope you think
about them too.
Life is awesome.
However, it doesn’t run 100% according to my best
laid plans. Having these above things in place make it
more enjoyable and more productive at the same time.
Food for thought.
On another note, tomorrow is it.
Thursday night at mid-night Eastern time, I am pulling
down the Super Conference page for good.
Registration will be closed. Period.
I’ve posted a partial list of who’s currently attending
at the bottom of this page:
