that you are in for a ride!  There are so many exciting things

going on here that I don’t know where to begin.  So let’s just

dive in and make some money and have some fun.

been trading emails and chatting with a bunch of the presenters

this week and it is going to be absolutely awesome.

 

Jack Turk set it up so we don’t have to do any selling from the

stage to make our money and the presentations are going to be

content-rich beyond belief.  I’m bringing five notebooks just

for my notes.

 

Jack tells me there are 4 seats left and he will drop a hundred

 Corporate Shows & Agents:

 

The Holiday Season is quickly approaching and now is the time

to book what should be the busiest month of our year.

 

Last year I did a ton of shows, as always.  But last year was

unusual for me in that over 70% of the shows for December

came through my agent contacts. 

 

Now this is unusual for me.  I typically book myself individually

of agents.  But last year was different and it will be the same this

year.

 

Before I get into how I’m handling it this year, let me just state

that I DO NOT recommend that you rely on someone else to

get you booked.

 

You and only you are responsible for getting your product in

front of people that need and want it.  Please don’t forget that.

 

I am doing my standard mailings and especially calling on

my past clients that haven’t already booked me for this year.

 

That disclaimer being stated, here is the proactive approach

I’m taking with my core group of agents this year…

 

1)  Call them – Yes, simple but very effective.  They are in

full swing right now with planning the Holidays and you need

to stay on the front of their minds.

 

I gave all of my agents a friendly phone call.  Asked how

their summer was, told them about mine and all of the cool

stuff planned for this year.

 

2)  Send them support materials – Immediately after this call,

I Fed-Ex’d them a box full of promotional tools they can use

to promote me to their clients. 

 

Everything, and I mean everything has THEIR contact

information on it, NOT mine.

 

This way they feel safe using it and understand that I know

what the game is about! 

(BTW-This is your HUGE tip of the week!)

 

3)  I “up” my contact with them for the next two months. 

 

My core agents are in my “corporate touch” list which means

they are contacted at least 8 times a year, typically more. 

This time of year I step it up a notch and make sure they

receive something from me every 10 -14 days.

 

This may sound like a nuisance, but it’s not at all.  Whether

it be a newspaper clipping, an email, a postcard or whatever-

if you make sure that it is benefit-oriented towards them, it is

very welcome and will serve you well.

 

So there’s a quick list for you to play with.  My December

calendar is almost full now and will be completely sold-out

by the end of this month because of it.

 

Don’t underestimate the power of others selling your services

for you.  Don’t rely on it solely, but make sure it is part of

your business plan.

 

If you don’t have a core group of agents working for you,

now would be the perfect time to do some research and

make some phone calls.
